Need to recover system losses and increase available power in RF and microwave ATE systems? In our laboratory we have power amplifiers available for rent.
We have the Agilent 83006A microwave system amplifier, a compact, commercially available amplifier designed for system designers and integrators. This amplifier provides power where you need it to recover system losses and increase the available power in RF and microwave ATE systems. The ultra-wide bandwidth of 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz allows the designer to replace several narrowband amplifiers with a single amplifier, eliminating the need for crossover networks or multiple bias supplies.
Superior RF performance
Gain of more than 20 dB
P1dB of more than 13 dBm at 20 GHz
Noise figure of less than 13 dB at 0.1 GHz, 8 dB at 18 GHz, 13 dB at 26.5 GHz (typical)
Connector type
RF connectors: 3.5 mm(f)
+12V@450mA, -12V@50mA
Operates with the 87421A 25W power supply.
Operates with the 87422A 70W power supply.
The following functions can be performed with this device
Increase source output power
Increase the output power of microwave sources to extend the test system’s dynamic range. Drive devices that require high input power, such as TWTs, mixers, power amplifiers, or optical modulators. Compress devices under test for characterization.
Recover systematic losses
Microwave system amplifiers help overcome the power loss from connectors, cables, switches, and signal-routing components that consume valuable source power. Long transmission paths, common in antenna applications, are particularly susceptible to such losses.
Level the source power
By using feedback to an external ALC input on the source, system designers can level the output power at the test port, canceling the effects of post-sweeper reflections and losses.
