At our company we sell METREL equipment such as the MI3309, a high-end multifunction instrument powered by either batteries or the mains.
The new MI 3309 BT DeltaGT is a multifunction tester that can operate on either batteries or mains voltage and is designed for safety testing of portable electrical equipment. The unit contains a unique PRCD test technology that prevents the mains RCD from tripping during measurement. Thanks to the MI 3309’s dual power supply, despite its lightweight design, tests can be performed that are normally found only in larger, heavier instruments (for example, differential leakage current, touch leakage current, power consumption, etc.). For testing fixed equipment, the instrument is equipped with additional inputs.
Functions:
- Visual and functional inspection
- Protective conductor resistance
- Insulation resistance, insulation resistance of insulated and accessible line parts
- Substitute leakage current, substitute leakage current of insulated and accessible line parts
- Differential leakage current test
- Touch leakage current
- PRCD test
- Performance test
- IEC line voltage check
- Leakage and load currents with the clamp meter
- True RMS voltage measurement
The MI3309 is a model of insulation tester manufactured by Metrel. This type of device is mainly used in the measurement of insulation resistance of electrical installations. It is essential for ensuring electrical safety in various systems, such as distribution networks, industrial equipment, machinery and solar panels, among others.
Main functions of the MI3309
-
Insulation resistance measurement: Lets you verify that electrical systems have no current leakage that could create risks of short circuits or electric shock.
-
Electrical equipment testing: Ideal for checking insulation integrity in cables, generators, transformers and other electrical equipment.
-
Testing at different voltages: Can perform insulation tests at different test voltages (typically 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V and 1000 V) depending on the type of installation.
-
Insulation fault detection: Helps identify insulation problems before they become serious faults, contributing to accident prevention.
-
Resistance measurements on grounded equipment: In addition to measuring insulation, it can also evaluate grounding resistance in electrical installations.
-
Monitoring and records: Some models, such as the MI3309, offer the ability to store data and generate reports for later analysis.
This tester is widely used by technicians and engineers in sectors such as the electrical industry, renewable energy installations, and electrical equipment maintenance.
