What can a cable and antenna analyzer do?
- Measure VSWR (ROE in Spanish):
- Indicates whether an antenna is properly tuned or is reflecting signal (which is bad).
- A VSWR of 1:1 is ideal.
- View return loss and insertion loss:
- Measures how much signal is lost due to poor connections or cable quality.
- Analyze impedance:
- Helps check whether cables and antennas have the correct impedance (usually 50 or 75 ohms).
- Detect cabling faults:
- Finds points where there are opens, shorts, or cable degradation.
- Perform frequency sweeps:
- Measures the behavior of the antenna or system over a range of frequencies.
